Dsl broadband physical link is down

On Friday when I came home from work my internet was down. I've followed all the steps of unplugging, resetting etc and it doesn't work. The "services" light is red. I've tried a different cable from the wall and also plugging my computer directly from the router. Not the end of the world but if I have to pay €50 to have this fixed I'll be pissed. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks
