Dear Madam, Sir,

We have just moved into a new flat but are having problems connecting the box. Our problem is the following:

The fibre connection is in the electrical cabinet on the ground floor of the building, so we have to connect the fibre box there.

First problem: There is no electrical outlet at this location, so an electrician have to install one.

Second problem: we need to run an ethernet cable between the fibre box on the ground floor and the wifi box in our second floor flat.

Is it possible for you to send us a technician that can fix both problems ( keep in mind that the technician have to install an electrical socket ).

Thank you in advance. Best regards,

Hi Axel, the best you can do is call KPN at 0800-0402, that it their toll free number. First you will hear an automated voice asking you what you are calling about, just say "employee" and someone will pick up the phone after a while.

The KPN installation engineer is competent and authorized to install a 230v wall socket next to your electrical outlet in the cupboard. If there is a way for a cat5e cable he/she will also install that for you. If the cable is longer the 15m or needs to go trough walls then he or she may charge you 4 euros for every 5 meter cable and 17,50 for every 15 minutes.

If you don't want to call then you need to fill in your forumprofile, but keep in mind that a moderator takes a lot longer then see this topic then if you call. The wait time for a moderator is usually between 1 and 4 days.

Hi @Axel25C, I see @Ik_Combineer has already given you the right steps to follow, and hope you were able to schedule a mechanic by now 🙂
